The Greeley Area Chamber Board of Directors voted unanimously on August 22 at their monthly Board of Directors meeting to endorse the renewal of the current Mill Levy Override (MLO) and to support Greeley-Evans School District 6. This issue is expected to be on the ballot in November for the district.
“The district has shown itself to be an excellent steward of the public’s investment and has made incredible strides,” said Jaime Henning, President & CEO of the Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce. “We believe the success of our community is dependent on the success of the district.”
The Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce has shown a history of support in both 2017 and 2019 supporting the extension of the MLO and Bond. Other factors bolstering support by the local business organization include workforce competitiveness, economic growth and building future leaders for our community.
*It should be noted, that while Dr. Pilch is a member of the Greeley Area Board of Directors, she abstained from the vote.
