Plan Your Ribbon Cutting Celebration With Us!
The Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce takes pride in celebrating its new Investors as well as their new locations. We are excited to help you plan a grand opening or ribbon cutting event.
You’ve put in the hard work of getting your business ready to open to the public, re-branding or even remodeling your space. As an exclusive benefit our investors, the Chamber is happy to host a ribbon cutting at your business and help facilitate your event worthy of celebration.
Guidelines
Ribbon Cuttings are for significant events at your business such as new business, anniversary, new ownership,
groundbreaking, relocation or renovation/expansion.
scheduling
Ribbon cuttings are scheduled:
- On Tuesdays-Thursdays at 4:30PM. To request an exception, please email hello@greeleychamber.com.
- A minimum of 30 days in advance.
- Upon availability and a first-come, first-served basis.
- Completion of the ribbon cutting contract below is required.
what to expect
- A Chamber representative will be available to welcome guests and introduce the owner/manager, as well as members of the Chamber Board and staff, ambassadors, and elected officials in attendance.
- Your designated business representative is given the opportunity to speak. Examples of what to say:
- Reason for Ribbon Cutting
- Short overview of your business and/or services
- Quick history of the business
- Introduce staff, officers, board members, construction teams, family, and anyone else who played a key role
- The Chamber will bring the ribbon and ceremony scissors!
- A Chamber representative will direct your guests and help you create the perfect photo opportunity. We encourage you to have a member of your staff or a photographer ready to snap the shot. Please tag us on socials and we will help to share it out.
- Feel encouraged to arrange food, beverages, and even decorations!
- If you need to cancel for any reason, please contact Kelly ASAP. You will need to restart this process and complete a new agreement.
helpful tips
- Pro tip: Promote and market this milestone through your own social media. This is your event, invite your clients, family and friends, etc.

- It’s a time to celebrate and food is a great way to get people to stick around and mingle. We see everything from finger foods and snacks to catered, hot food. Totally up to you!
- Short and Sweet. No one wants to be gone from work for long, so keep it simple.
- Be creative by putting your personal touch on things to make it memorable!
- Outdoor photos are typically best to incorporate your logo/sign/marquee.
- SMILE for a practice shot during the ribbon photo. This is followed by the ‘3 .. 2 .. 1’ countdown, cut and
CELEBRATION! - DO NOT stress about it – they are meant to be FUN!
