First introduced in 1984 as Leadership Greeley, Leadership Weld County presents the background knowledge that future leaders will need to be effective in the future. Each monthly session focuses on one aspect of life and the economy of our vast county, giving class members access to subject areas such as criminal justice and public safety, education, economic development and agriculture. Class members also complete the Leadership Practices Inventory® (LPI®), a 360-degree assessment tool by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner. Through sessions with an expert facilitator, class members gain self knowledge that results in more effective leadership styles.
