As the Marketing Intern at the Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce, I’ve been granted a glimpse into the remarkably strong connections and vibrant community that define Greeley, Colorado. The businesses and activities in town truly reflect their commitment to making Greeley an inviting home for everyone.
When I moved back to Greeley after living in a different state for several years, I struggled to get reconnected with my roots here in northern Colorado; however, it only took a few trips to downtown Greeley to replant those roots. Now, I take full advantage of what the town has to offer. To me, a perfect day in town is a visit to the Greeley Farmers’ Market, hanging out with my best friends at Aunt Helen’s Cafe & Wine Bar (ordering their amazing pesto flatbread), and then catching a movie at the Kress Cinema & Lounge (the atmosphere is so unique).
After reestablishing my love for Greeley and becoming employed with the Chamber, I have a newfound appreciation for the town’s growth.

Out of the Chambers 100+ years of impacting Greeley and my three years of living here, I have seen how remarkably fast businesses, living spaces, and developments are popping up every single day. This growth can be seen in how the Chamber has 2-3 Ribbon Cuttings (celebration of significant events for both new and old businesses) a week, which coincides with the fact that Greeley is one of the largest growing communities in Colorado, per the U.S. Census Bureau. It is evident that without the dedication and spirit of both the Chamber’s 700+ investors and its wonderful staff, Greeley would not be evolving into the thriving city it is today.
On a personal level, my internship with the Chamber, in collaboration with the Greeley-Evans School District 6 Internship Program, has provided me with invaluable opportunities to enhance my professional and leadership skills while gaining insights into marketing and design. For example, I have been tasked with doing marketing research regarding creating a Greeley relocation page on the Chamber website which would give valuable information to people who are interested in relocating to Greeley. I aim to use the marketing and research skills that I learn during my summer with the Chamber to propel my professional journey forward.
After I graduate from Early College Academy with my Associates of Arts degree from Aims Community College, I plan to continue my education either at the University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University, or University of Wyoming, with a major in either marketing management or fashion & interior merchandising. I also hope to get a graphic design certification. As for my long-term goals, I hope to get a job where I love what I do and can give back to the community.
