North Colorado Medical Center’s roots go as far back as 1904 when Greeley Hospital was opened. Over the years, “Greeley” changed into “Weld County General” and that became North Colorado Medical Center.
The hospital completed a major expansion in 2005, bringing the number of hospital beds to 398. North Colorado serves as the primary full-service hospital for northern and eastern Colorado, southern Wyoming, western Nebraska and Kansas.

North Colorado Medical Center professionals are nationally recognized for excellence in many programs such as burn and trauma care and also offer exceptional care for hyperbaric medicine. Its cardiac program was recently recognized as being in the top 100 in the country. Additionally, the medical center is home to the highest-rated cancer care program in northern Colorado.
